The aim of our agricultural project is
-- to demonstrate a sustainable food supply for all people
-- to carry them out with vigor - and
-- thus prove the feasibility - and
-- to make everyone aware of sustainability
connected with it is
-- animal and environmentally friendly livestock farming
-- without stressful transport trips
-- with short distances to the consumer
-- sustainable to regenerative cultivation of all agricultural land
The processing of all soils
– both farmland and grassland – is carried out using methods that are
gentle on the soil, through the use of agricultural machinery that can
perform several operations simultaneously - and even make some steps superfluous.
Soil enhancement is done using microorganisms, fungi, compost and
compost tea, with the further short-term goal of avoiding any slurry
altogether.
Intercrops or plant roots always remain on the arable land. This means
that there is always vegetation on the land. This prevents soil erosion
almost completely. In addition, the soil is aerated by the plant roots
and earthworms and beetles are thus also supported in their free work
of additionally aerating and fertilizing the soil.
In the long term, our method of working
even regenerates an overstressed soil
Sustainable animal welfare is carried out for pigs in open pens
– more precisely in a tented system on natural soils. The side effect
here is that the previously common fixed livestock houses are not
needed, so the investment costs are significantly lower.
In addition, the pigs have enough space to follow their natural urge to
rummage in the soil. They are therefore not kept on slatted floors and
are also not supplied with industrial feed. This supply is therefore
more advantageous with self-produced grain, hay, straw and silage.
The pigs are slaughtered and processed locally or directly on site to
avoid stress for the animals. The meat thus retains its high quality. The
"manure" produced by the pigs is processed into high-quality compost
after appropriate preparation (through sieving). This can either be
used on the farm for fertilization or - filled into smaller bags - sold
to interested customers.
Basically, however, the compost is the basic
material to relieve the nature: the natural liquid fertilizer obtained
from it replaces almost everything that was previously used in the form
of artificial fertilizer.
Cattle are
kept in the form of mother cow herds, so the calves remain with their
mothers. In addition, grazing is preferred. The same requirements apply
to slaughtering as to pigs.
As cattle breeds are preferred breeds that can be kept robust. This
means that the animals can be kept constantly on pastures suitable for
this purpose. The meat quality is still increased and decisively
improved. Since the cattle change pastures at regular intervals, there
are also no problems with parasites. In contrary to stable keeping, NO
appropriate medication has to be used to combat the higher
susceptibility to pests and diseases.
At the same time, the pastures are not "overgrazed", but "maintained" by the cattle.
Chickens
are kept in mobile pens, which can be moved at regular intervals. Feed
for the animals is also produced in-house, so that a very high quality
is also achieved there. The arable land and green areas are thus also
treated with care. In some cases, the animals are kept on land
previously used by other animals - in other words, a dual use, so that
further agricultural use is possible at the same time.
The above-mentioned pig husbandry in special tents has already found
interested parties in the USA and Canada. After the start of our
project, we will directly consider and supply these users. In the short
term, this will ensure additional income from licenses and rental
income.
Our goals are thus to be defined as follows:
1. TARGET Soil enhancement through microorganisms
2. TARGET Animal husbandry in open stables
3. TARGET Securing the food supply from domestic resources
4. TARGET Independence from external suppliers
5. TARGET Avoidance of soil erosion
6. TARGET Bringing consumers and nature together responsibly
